Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II beta will be available already in September. First, it will be released on PlayStation, then Xbox, and PC. Infinity Ward shared this news at the CDL Champs (Call of Duty League Championship) tournament. As with previous betas, the game’s release dates are separated by console and by whether or not you pre-ordered.

From September 16-17, the beta version of the new CoD will be received by PlayStation 4 and 5 players who pre-ordered the game. This is followed by an open beta for all PlayStation players, which will begin on Sept. 18 and end on the 20th.

The cross-play beta for players who pre-ordered the game on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC will run from September 22 to 23. In turn, the open cross-play beta for all platforms will begin on September 24 and end on the 26th. Each session begins at 1 p.m. ET.

Infinity Ward also unveiled a new multiplayer map called Grand Prix at CDL Champs. The action takes place on a race track. The map will be available to play during beta testing.

Infinity Ward also reports that you will have an opportunity to get a beta test code that will give you early access if you haven’t pre-ordered. Although the company has already handed out a few codes during the tournament, you’ll have a better chance of getting them from various streamers and bloggers before the beta starts.

Users got their first glimpse of Modern Warfare II back in June, but Infinity Ward is going to tell much more about the upcoming game at its Call of Duty: Next event (including a full multiplayer demo) on September 15. Modern Warfare II will be released on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, and PC (on Battle.net and Steam) on October 28.
