As you browse through the TikTok recommendations, you’ve probably come across videos that you like so much that you want to watch them over and over again. Of course, if you like such a video, it will move to your list of liked videos. But that list is updated as you like other videos, so your favorite videos will move down the list. That’s why there is a list of your favorite videos.
You can add more than just videos to your favorites. This list is available for music and effects, as well as comments, hashtags, and products.
Adding videos to favorites
Adding videos to favorites is done in just a few steps. First, you need to find the video you’d like to add there. Go to the publication you like and lightly pinch the screen. A pop-up window with four buttons will appear. You can use them to download the video (if the author has enabled this feature), report a violation, add it to Favorites, or click the Not interested button so you don’t see similar videos again. Click Add to Favorites. That’s it!
Now to find this video you need to go to your profile page. To the right of the Edit Profile icon is a checkmark icon. Click on it and you will see the entire list of saved favorite videos.
You can add a video to your favorites without having to like it. In addition, the author of the video will not know that his video has been added to favorites, so it is a completely private action.
How to save other items
As mentioned above, you can add more than just videos to your favorites. You can also do this with sounds. To add a sound to your favorites, you need to click the icon for that sound in the lower right corner of the video you are watching. All videos with that sound will appear. There is also an Add to Favorites button there. Just click on it.
To save a hashtag as a favorite, you have to do exactly the same thing as when you save a sound. Click on the hashtag. After going to the next tab, click the Add to Favorites button.
If you come across a comment that interests you, you can also save it for yourself and return to it at any time. To save as a favorite, click on the comment you want. Many keys will appear in front of you.
Reply with video gives you the opportunity to record your video response to that comment. You can also use the Send to friends button to share it. If your comment is in a language you don’t know, you can click Translate and get a chance to read what the person wrote. If you think the person wrote something that violates the rules you can click Report and send a complaint. And, of course, you can copy the text of a comment by clicking Copy. By clicking Add to Favorites you will send the selected comment to your favorites list.
