Well, when you sign up to Telegram, you will need to use your phone number to create an account. However, there’s a way to hide it from other people. Here’s how.
How to manage phone number privacy in Telegram
Here’s what you should do in order to hide your phone number in Telegram:
- Go to Settings.
- Go to Privacy and Security.
- Tap on Phone number.
- Here are three options: everybody (all people who will open your profile will see your phone number), My contacts (only people that are added to your contacts will see your phone number) or Nobody (no one will see your phone number).
- Choose the option you like the most.
You can also add exceptions, for example, you can hide your phone number from certain users or, vice versa, reveal it to some users of your choice.
