The big price gap in Android smartphones is mainly due to the fact that there are quite a few different combinations of components in smartphones. For the most part, the power of a smartphone is determined by the processor that is installed in it.

Soon the users of Android smartphones will have another new chip, which will be installed in smartphones middle and entry-level, which is designed for budget smartphones. The Qualcomm company has announced two budget chips, which will replace the existing ones and will be much more powerful.

Thus Qualcomm introduced two chips – Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 and Snapdragon 4 Gen 1. They will be the next generation of Snapdragon 600 and Snapdragon 400 chips as part of Qualcomm’s ongoing rebranding. They have already released similar updates for the more powerful flagship chips recently.

At the moment among the technical features, we know that the 6 Gen 1 is the most productive of them. It works on the 4-nm process, the clock speed of its processor reaches 2.2 GHz, and supports LPDDR5 memory. However, the 4 Gen 1 is produced by 6nm process technology and its clock speed is 2.0 GHz, and as for memory, it supports LPDDR4X memory.

Both of these chips support the 5G network standard but come with different modems. In the case of the 6 Gen 1, it supports Wi-Fi 6E, while the X51 modem in the 4 Gen 1 supports Wi-Fi 5. Likewise, they can shoot photos with 108MP resolution. And the 6 Gen 1 boosts quality to 200MP and can record 4K video (4 Gen 1 up to 1080p60).

In addition, they support Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ technology. So that your smartphone will be able to charge as quickly as possible. Smartphones with the new chips can be expected on the shelves already in the next few months.
