There is good news for all fans of old-school games this week. On August 19, Microsoft updated the list of Xbox Game Pass games to include several classic old-school games. Some of them are considered masterpieces and others are a bit ambiguous, but they should be a lot of fun for all fans of old-school games.

Of course, the loudest titles included in Game Pass are Quake 4 and Wolfenstein 3D. These are shooters that were breakthroughs in their time and have millions of fans around the world. But that’s not all that you can be pleased with in the latest Game Pass selection.

What other games are included in Game Pass

In addition to Quake 4 and Wolfenstein 3D, the list of subscription games includes

  • Return to Castle Wolfenstein
  • An Elder Scrolls Legend: Battlespire
  • The Elder Scrolls Adventures: Redguard

As you can see here is another game in the Wolfenstein universe where you will play as US Army Ranger William “B.J.” Blazkowicz, and participate in the events of World War II in an alternate world. At the moment the series is frozen in anticipation of future sequels. This is a good time to give the classics a try.

Another series that is expecting a sequel in the next couple of years is The Ancient Scrolls. The selection includes two games from this series. Although Battlespire and Redguard are not full-fledged parts of the series, but rather spinoffs, they managed to keep the spirit of the original. They have no open world and are more of a quest game. So if you are not scared by the uncomfortable old controls and outdated graphics, you should definitely try them.

It is also worth considering that all these games came out in the subscription just for PC. On consoles, they will not be available.
