Ubisoft’s one of the largest and most popular video game companies. It’s based in France in Saint Mande. The company has released studios all over the world due to the popularity of its services. The company’s franchise includes Assasin’s Creed, Far Cry, For Honor, Just Dance, Prince of Persia, Rabbids, Rayman, Tom Clancy’s, and Watch Dogs.

Online support is one of the basics of a great gaming experience, as it’s essential to have feedbacks in case you’ve faced some issues while gaming. The support can answer the questions and help you to solve the issues which have occurred during the gaming time. However, sometimes, online support may be removed.

What would happen when the online support would be removed

Several days ago Ubisoft company has announced the deleting of their online support for several games. What does it mean? It means that the company is decommissioning the number of its games. According to the announcement, online support wouldn’t be available after the 1st of September 2022.

Since this date, users who prefer gaming on PC wouldn’t be available to use all their purchased DCL. However, the console players are luckier. Their access to DCL would be lost only in case they start a new game. This information was said on Ubisoft’s website: “If you have previously redeemed ULC (Ubisoft’s term for DLC) while playing on PC, it will no longer be available. If you have previously redeemed ULC on console, it may remain available, unless you reset your saved game files”.

One of the biggest problems can occur with the Space Junkies game which has been presented in 2019. The problem is that after the deletion of online support, there would be no sense to play the game. However, the company didn’t notify the new users, who buy the game with 75% off, that after 2 months the game would be unavailable. Thanks that other players try to warn them by leaving negative comments and reviews.

What games would be affected

As you know now, there would be games affected due to the new circumstances of the company. However, you should know what games exactly would become less available or unavailable completely. Read the list below to be warned:

  • Anno 2070
  • Assassin’s Creed 2
  • Assassin’s Creed 3
  • Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood
  • Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD
  • Driver San Francisco
  • Far Cry 3
  • Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, Silent Hunter 5, Space Junkies, and Splinter Cell: Blacklist.
  • Ghost Recon Future Soldier

All those games would be completely unavailable or partly. As was mentioned before, the Space Junkies game would be completely unavailable as you can use it only in a multi-player mode, while the Ghost Recon Future Soldier would be partly available and to use it you’ll need to keep it in an offline mode to play the solo campaign.

Unfortunately, even though, many users got disappointed because of the decision of their favorite company, there can be nothing done to change Unisoft’s decision. The only way is just to submit and get used to the new policy that’s been announced but Ubisoft.
