Amazon is reportedly working on a series about FTX and co-founder Sam Bankman-Friede, who was ousted from the crypto exchange after leading it to bankruptcy.
The full ramifications of FTX’s collapse are unknown at this point. However, it’s reported that Amazon is working on the series, particularly on former CEO Sam Bankman-Frieda.
Anthony and Joe Russo’s production company AGBO has begun production on the mini-series. The brothers are reportedly considering directing several episodes. Along with that, Amazon has brought in Invasion co-creator Dave Weil as an executive producer.
The plan is for it to be a series of eight episodes. The main story and storyline will unfold around the career of Bankman-Fried, namely how he co-founded FTX and then led the company to a liquidity crisis, which eventually led to his dismissal.
So far, there is no information about the mini-series title, and no showrunners or casting has been announced. Amazon is reportedly considering several actors Roussos worked with while directing such Marvel blockbusters as “Avengers: Infinity War.”
