The iPhone 14 Pro came out earlier this month, and it would be strange if everythig was smooth. Some bugs appeared. But the good news is that Apple was quick to fix these issues in the iOS 16.0.2 update. One of the issues the update addresses is the iPhone 14 Pro’s compatibility problem with third-party apps that use iPhone’s camera, such as Instagram, TikTok, and Snapchat.
When users launched these apps and used the device’s rear camera, the camera view shook on the screen, and the phone made grinding and rattling noises. In the patch notes, Apple said the update fixes an issue: “camera may vibrate and cause blurry photos when shooting with some third-party apps on iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.” The company didn’t specify the cause. However, it’s possible that the apps aren’t interacting well with the device’s optical image stabilization system, causing the rattling sounds.
Another nasty problem the update fixes is the constant appearance of permission requests when trying to copy and paste content between apps. Apple senior manager Ron Huang acknowledged that this is “absolutely not expected behavior” and said the company is addressing the issue.
