Not so long ago Amazon introduced its improved version of this technology, the Amazon Echo Show.
What is the Amazon Echo Show
It’s basically this kind of smart speaker that’s part of the Amazon Echo product line. It’s based on Amazon’s virtual assistant Alexa. What makes this device special is that it has a 7-inch touch screen. It can display videos, photos, and information for Alexa’s answers. Echo Show was released on June 28, 2017. Several new generations were later released.
Critics have praised the device positively. All noted the good sound quality, its simplicity, and the fact that the screen is an addition for Alexa, rather than a built-in tablet. It really helps people interact with it better. But still, the main function of the Echo Show was to display pictures.
How do you upload and display pictures on the Echo Show
To relive your favorite memories with the Amazon Echo Show, you have several options for displaying your photos. After Amazon updated the Alexa mobile app, adding photos to the Echo Show has become much easier. To do so, you need to :
- Open the alexa app on your phone
- Tap “Devices” at the bottom of the screen
- Then you need to select your Echo Show speaker
- Tap the gear icon in the top right corner
- Scroll down and tap on “Photo Display“
This will give you the option to upload a photo directly from your smartphone. You can choose an album from your Amazon Photo collection or select photos from your connected Facebook account.
To link your Facebook account you need to :
- First, in the Alexa app, click “More“
- Then go to “Settings“
- Select “Photos” and go to the “Link Facebook account” option
There is also a “Daily Memories” feature. It can display a selection of photos that will be updated daily. If you turn on the “This Day” feature, it will display all the photos from each day in years past.
