In recent years, airlines have competed markedly in technology to attract customers. Many companies have been offering free Wi-Fi on their flights for quite some time, such as JetBlue. Hawaiian Airlines has partnered with Starlink.

At the moment, Delta Air Lines is also planning to make Wi-Fi free on “a large portion” of its planes from early next year.

In fact, the company has already tested it on some passengers, or rather those who are members of its free SkyMiles incentive program. Those passengers were getting free Internet access in the air. So it’s possible that this benefit may soon become more accessible to many passengers.

Passengers will most likely not be able to get the full service anytime soon just because the company warned that not all planes will have Wi-Fi on board any time soon.

So different flights may have different connectivity options even within the same airline. Accordingly, you do not know how much you’ll have to pay to get online and whether you can at all on any of the flights.

In fact, when a company can fully implement this, it will create a much better flight experience. Because in today’s world, sometimes it’s hard to go without internet access, even for an hour.
