In the age of the digital industry and how rapidly streaming services are evolving, it’s no surprise that many people want to share the ability to watch content from different places at the same time. For example, sitting at home in different cities watching the same movie with friends.

Disney makes that possible. However it has its limitations and in this article, you will learn how to watch Disney Plus on different devices at the same time.

How does Disney Plus sharing work

To start using Disney Plus, you need a subscription. When you create an account, it can be associated with seven different profiles. The plan is meant to cover an entire household, with each member having their customized Disney Plus experiences.

You can also share your account with your friends, etc., but be aware that Disney Plus only allows up to four devices at a time. So be careful and keep this in mind when giving someone your account username and password.

The company is aware that its users are sharing passwords and realize that they are losing some money from this, but it is not very significant.

Is it okay to share Disney Plus

Is there a problem if Disney finds out that you share the password with your friends or family? Let’s just say there’s an acceptable limit here. According to Disney Plus’ Terms of Use, sharing your password with others is forbidden. The company is well aware and understands that users will not overpay and just share their accounts with their close ones. That’s why they monitor abnormal logins.

This means that if you’re selling your account login to multiple people for a profit, or you’re giving login information to excessive amounts of viewers, the company may find out. Therefore, Disney may take action (possibly block your account, but it could go much further depending on what you’re doing).

However if you share your account with a friend or acquaintance, and do not share it with everyone around, then you are not in danger. Otherwise, your account can be blocked. So, even though sharing isn’t forbidden, it’s not exactly encouraged.

What is a Gift Subscription

What Disney Plus offers in this case is the gift of a subscription. However, it is only for one year and the lucky person has to create a new account.

How to share Disney Plus using your password

When you share your account with family or friends you can split the subscription fee and it’s quite saving. But there are some things to keep in mind when using this method.

  • Monitoring the number of devices used. Disney Plus allows you to stream simultaneously on up to 4 devices. Be aware of this when you share the password with your loved ones. Otherwise, you might not be able to watch your favorite show one night
  • Using different passwords. Never use your Disney Plus password the same as for services where important personal data is stored. Otherwise, the person with whom you share your account may have access to more than just watching movies. Don’t forget that your password can get to other people as well
  • Disney Plus error codes from sharing. If someone has been entering the password or login incorrectly for some time, it can break down and you may face error codes like 5, 7, 8, and 9 when logging in. You could also see Error Code 13, which means that the allowed device limit got maxed out
  • Downloads from sharing. There are times when people you know will ask you to lend an account to download movies. But you have to keep in mind that downloads are limited to ten devices, meaning it fills up fairly quickly when sharing your Disney Plus login information

And that is pretty much all you need to know about streaming Disney Plus on different devices at a time.
