How to change your IMVU username on desktop
You should know that the only way to change the username of your IMVU account is to use a web browser. Here’s how:
- Open IMVU website in your browser.
- Sign in to your account.
- Go to “Account Tools” in the top-right corner of the screen.
- Choose ‘Change Avatar Name’ from the drop-down menu on the left.
- Fill the form and confirm changes by clicking ‘Submit‘.
- Confirm changes once again.
How to change your IMVU username on iOS
Regrettably, there’s no way to change IMVU username on iPhone or iPad. However, you can use the app to create an account and customize your Avatar. Here’s how to create an IMVU account using the iPhone app:
- Open the app or download it from the App Store.
- Sign up with your Facebook account or e-mail address.
- Create your IMVU avatar.
- Fill the information needed and choose the name and password.
- Tap ‘Join Now’ to set-up your account.
How to change your IMVU username using Android app
The same thing as with iOS – you can’t change your name on the Android app. However, you can sign in via the browser and change your username there.
Also, you can use IMVU mobile app to change your displayed name (but you can’t change your username). Here is how to change the displayed name:
- Open the IMVU Mobile.
- Tap on your profile icon in the top-right corner of the screen.
- Tap on EDIT in the top-right corner.
- Now, type the new displayed name and tap ‘Save‘ to save the changes.
