How to install Avast Antivirus on Windows

Regular Installation
Regular installation is good if you don’t know anything about antivirus and you just have to install it and run it without worrying about details. To run it you will need to :
- Log in to Windows as an administrator. Also, make sure that there is no other antivirus on your computer before installing it
- Go to the Avast website and download the Avast installer file. The file must be in .exe format
- Then open your installation file and run it as Administrator
- A dialog box will ask you if you want to continue with the installation, you will need to choose “yes” in order to continue.

If you want to have full control over the installation and want to install the antivirus in custom mode, you should :
- Repeat the first four steps from the previous list
- Then select “Customize option” for custom installation
- Now you can click “Change” to choose your antivirus installation path. You can also choose here which components of the program you want and which you don’t
- Then you need to wait a few minutes for complete installation of the setup
- Then press “Continue“, then you will get the message “You’re protected“
- Read and accept the Privacy Policy in order to run the first scan of your system

Sometimes it becomes impossible to install antivirus on your computer for various reasons. In this case, there are several ways to solve this problem:
