The Logitech G502 is one of the most popular gaming computer mice in the world. A few days ago, Logitech announced that they were releasing a remake of their most popular computer mouse. The Logitech G502 X-series gaming mice will soon hit store shelves.

There will be three mice available: G502 X, G502 X Lightspeed, and G502 X Plus. All will come with hybrid optical-mechanical buttons for greater responsiveness, as well as a more precise “Hero 25K” sensor with 25,600 dpi resolution. They’re also lighter and redesigned. Also an important element, in my opinion, is that you can now remove the side button which is responsible for the dpi.

Among the main differences is that the G502 X is a wired model, while the G502 X Lightspeed and G502 X Plus are wireless. The difference between the Lightspeed and the Plus is that the Plus has RGB backlighting and Lightsync RGB technology, which reacts to gameplay. Both wireless models are claimed by the company to have 68% faster connection speeds than previous Logitech models.

It’s also worth mentioning that the mice have in themselves more technological hybrid optical-mechanical switches “Lightforce”, which allows you to use the speed of optical technology. Logitech claims that these switches are more reliable and will have less wear and tear, which means that the mouse will last you a long time. Logitech has also lightened the scroll wheel, you can switch to ratchet scrolling at any time.

The company claims the Lightspeed and Plus mice can last 140 hours and 120 hours on a single charge respectively. However, you can make them work uninterrupted by connecting a Type-C cable or using Logitech’s special Powerplay computer mat. It has the ability to charge the mice while in use with wireless charging. The company also said the mice can be used with any of the following Logitech G-keyboard receivers: G915, G915 TKL or G715.

You can place pre-orders today on the official Logitech website. The G502 X wired model will be $79 and the Lightspeed wireless model will be $139. They will start selling as early as September. The G502 X Plus is already on sale at Logitech for just $159.
