Pinterest has shut down the Creator Rewards program. Until then, it worked so that authors could earn money by creating content on monthly prompts and meeting specific engagement goals.

As of this month, December 2022, it no longer works that way. Pinterest representatives thanked the creators who participated in the program. They also added that they are now working to find new ways to help you succeed on Pinterest and look forward to more opportunities to work together in 2023.

According to the information, Pinterest will pay a one-time bonus to creators who participated in at least one reward goal in August, September, or October 2022. The company didn’t specify the bonus amount on the Creator Rewards page.

When the company introduced Creator Rewards last year, it said it planned to invest $20 million in the program. The company also launched a $500,000 Creator Fund last year and injected another $1.2 million into the project this year. The social network created the project to help creators from underrepresented communities with cash and promotional rewards.

So now we want to know what new projects Pinterest is talking about already. Most importantly, this doesn’t globally affect the creators and their content. Pinterest, just like any other platform or social network, has to be updated with new content. It’s hard for me to imagine finding my new ideas without Pinterest.
