Opera remains one of the most advanced browsers when it comes to features. The Opera sidebar offers you quick access to many add-ons that you can use directly in your browser. For example, you can access messengers or even Instagram. But the developers are constantly improving this function and adding more and more features. Today, I will tell you about two new features in Opera that can help you navigate the Internet.

I am talking about features like Music Player and Shopping Corner. Both of these features have been introduced in a recent update. They offer yet another expansion of functionality without having to open additional tabs or applications.

So using the music player, you can log in to your music streaming service. You can sign in to one of the four available streaming services: Spotify, YouTube Music, Deezer, or Apple Music. You can then use them directly from the sidebar. You don’t need to open a separate tab or download their app for this.

The functionality that accesses the extension is the same as what you can find in the web versions. In addition, it does not require additional space and is already included in the Opera browser. Among the disadvantages is that this way, you can’t save songs to listen to them offline.

The Shopping Corner is a bit more complicated. It is invoked via a URL that is located at https://shopping-corner.opera.com/. This link is only accessible from Opera. From any other browser, this URL will not work.

This Shopping Corner collects all offers and your purchase history. You can use it to quickly access items you have browsed and different stores you have visited—a handy feature for those who like to shop online.

Among the disadvantages, some users have noted that through the Shopping Corner is not always possible to add items to the cart on Amazon, and there is a little raw interface. Most likely, the developers have allowed trying out an early version of the add-on, lat, and its functionality will only expand.
