If you’re thinking about lighting your home with smart light sources, you should approach the question responsibly. You need to make sure that there is enough light and that all the lights work in sync. Philips Hue devices are good for this.

Philips Hue is a range of intelligent lighting devices. They have a mix of different smart bulbs, luminaires, and strips of light. At IFA 2022 Signify introduced new products for this line.

The first thing that was introduced was the Lightguide bulbs. They feature an inner tube that diffuses light and can be coated with gloss to make the light brighter. This bulb has 3 different housings in an ellipse, triangle, and big balloon shapes.

A candle bulb with a filament was also introduced. It imitates a real candle. You can choose any shade from cool to warm. So this lamp can be used as a regular lamp on the table or even as a chandelier.

The most interesting thing that was introduced was the Play gradient light bar. It should be an addition to your PC. It can be connected to the Corsair iCUE RGB software for customization. This means that it can sync up with everything happening on your screen, just like with other Corsair devices.

Among the interesting smart features that were introduced was the automatic mimic presence feature. It automates lighting when you’re not home. This means that the program remembers when and for how long you usually turn on the light and can turn on the light itself to pretend that someone is home. This feature is designed to help prevent potential burglaries.

The cost of a regular Lightguide will be in the neighborhood of $50 to $90 and will be on sale by the end of the year. White Ambiance filament candle bulbs can be purchased for $45 and 2 pieces for $65. They will be available on September 13. In the case of the Play ribbon, it depends on how many monitors you have. For one 24/27-inch monitor it’s $170, and for a 32/34-inch monitor, it’s $190. For three monitors, the price would be $280 if they are 24/27-inch.
