Tesla has raised prices on all of the 4 EVs it sells now and it’s the biggest price hike in the company’s history. Now, the base Tesla Model 3 and Model Y will start at $43,990 and $56,990, respectively.
The Model S and Model X start at $94,990 and $104,990, respectively.
Tesla didn’t explain the price increase, but the reason could be manufacturing issues, as Tesla halted Model S production in the first half of 2021, due to supply chain issues, which also puts pressure on the growing demand for cars from this company.
The most logical explanation is that the company is trying to reduce the impact of the shortage on Tesla’s bottom line for 2021.
