Warner Bros. Discovery has been taking steps to cut costs since the company was formed earlier this year through the merger of WarnerMedia and Discovery. They also announced that the Joss Whedon series “Nevers,” which aired for half a season, would also be dropped.
This is not all an effort to save money. The company also canceled the release of Batgirl, which was filmed for HBO Max, and removed other HBO films and Warner Bros. films from HBO Max. So they are trying to save money for sufficient payments to the cast and crew.
