- Walk over and unplug your TV
- Press and hold the power button on your Smart TV
- Hold down the power button and plug the TV back into the wall socket
- Once your Insignia TV turns on let go the power button
- Now wait for your TV to boot in android recovery mode
- Once Android recovery mode starts, you will have a few options in front of you. Such as reboot system now, apply update from USB, wipe data / factory reset, wipe cache partition and etc
- Now select the “wipe data / factory reset option“
- Press and hold the power button until wipe data / factory reset option which is highlighted turns to green color and let go the power button once you see green button
- You should now see a confirmation message in front of you. Press and hold the power button and wait for it to change color of yes to green and let go of power button
- The factory reset process is now started. It will end when it will display wipe data process complete 100%
- Now you need to restart your Insignia TV. To do this select the reboot system now and press the power button and wait for the highlighted colour of reboot system option changes to green and let go of power button
This way you can quickly and quite easily reset your TV to factory settings. Remember that this will erase all data from your TV, including all your accounts and apps.
