Apple may introduce a mixed reality headset this spring

People have been discussing and expecting something like this from Apple for a long time. And it is possible that soon this spring, we will see a mixed reality headset from Apple.

The company plans to unveil the device before the World Developers Conference in June and start shipping it this fall.

It is expected that such a headset could cost as much as $3,000. It will provide both virtual realities (VR) and augmented reality (AR) using Apple’s new operating system, xrOS.

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that the headset’s development has been delayed “due to problems with drop testing of mechanical components and the availability of software development tools.” He said that Apple would probably announce the headset at a media event in the spring or WWDC.

Some experts in the field have said the product likely has many flaws, which is putting the brakes on other Apple projects as a result. That is the reason why many expect not as many releases this year as before.
