Garmin has introduced a new model of watch for running – the basic version of Forerunner 55 with a minimal set of functions. The cost of the new watch, released on the market in black, white or blue colors, will be $200.
The new product, which will replace the Garmin Forerunner 45, is capable of tracking time, distance, speed, pace and heart rate while walking or running workouts, as well as recording GPS track while exercising. The watch has built-in programs to prepare for races of different distances, personalized training plans and user health monitoring features.
The Forerunner 55 can run for up to two weeks in smart watch mode and up to 20 hours with GPS activated.
