It is strange that Google still does not answer this question (at least I could not find a clear answer how many Gmail accounts you have in official Google/Gmail team sources).
However, the fact is that real restrictions do exist and I’ve faced them in real life.
But let’s talk about everything in order.
Can you have more than one Gmail account
Google has no limit to the number of accounts you can own or use. Moreover, in the Gmail website or app, you have an opportunity to sign in to a lot of Gmail accounts and switch between them whenever you want.
By the way, Google has a limit on the number of Gmail accounts you can be signed in at one time, but I don’t remember the exact number, I think it’s 6 accounts. In that case, if you want to sign in to another account, Google will ask you to log out of any previous account.
Can I have 4 Gmail accounts?
Yes, you can have at least 100 accounts. However, Google limits the number of accounts that can be linked to a single phone number.
I found the maximum number you can register with one phone number to be 4 accounts. However, this isn’t consistent with my experience. The first 4 accounts are very easy to create using the same phone number, Google will not even ask you to verify it (but you can do it yourself to increase security, but if you want, you can skip this step).
Once you have already created 4 Gmail accounts, you won’t be able to create new accounts as easily, because now Google will ask you to verify your phone number. And after you have created 4 more accounts, then when you try to register the next account, Google will tell you that this mobile number is used too many times.
Can I have 2 Gmail accounts on my phone?
Of course, you can easily add a Gmail account to your phone (or create another one). By the way, you can add not only Gmail, but non-Gmail accs as well if you want to.
