The comments are a crazy thing. On the one hand, they allow us to share our thoughts almost instantly, but on the other hand, the ease with which we can write them sometimes encourages us to write thoughtless things.
I don’t write comments on Instagram (or anywhere else for that matter) very often, but even I have sometimes found myself needing to delete a comment I’ve already written because after posting it I realized it wasn’t what I wanted to write.
In general, there can be many reasons to delete a comment: someone wrote a comment under your photo or video that you don’t like, you made a typo, or you just changed your mind about what you had already written.
The good news is that a comment can easily be deleted and here’s how.
How to erase an Instagram comment
- Click or tap on ‘View Comments’ under the photo or video where you want to delete a comment
- Tap in the comment and swipe it left to see the trash icon
- Tap on the trash icon
- The comment would be delleted. You will also have an option to undo the action in case you’ve changed your mind about deleting it
Here’s all you need to do in order to delete the comment. However, think twice next time before posting a comment, as a person can already read it.
