How to remove credit card on Doordash on iOS device
You may think that’s quite a straightforward process, but it’s quite messed. For example, if you have only one payment method linked to your account – you can delete it, as it’s set by default.
That means, if you need to change your credit card information to replace it with the new one, you will need to add a new credit card and then delete the previous one. However, if you have more than one payment method on Doordash, you can delete your credit card.
Here’s what you should do in order to delete your credit card on Doordash:
- Open the Doordash app on your iOS device
- Go to the Account on the top-left corner from the Home screen
- Choose Payment methods
- Look for a credit card you want to delete and swipe it’s information left
- You will see the option to remove it and you should choose this option
How to remove credit card on Doordash on Android device
The pattern for deleting your credit card on Doordash for Android devices is almost the same. Here’s what you should do:
- Go to the Doordash app
- Tap Account on the top-left corner
- Now, go to the Payment methods
- Choose the credit card you want to remove, swipe it left and choose Remove/Delete
How to remove credit card on Doordash via the website
Some people don’t use the Doordash app to manage this service and I personally know some of them. Instead, such people are using the Doordash website.
The good news is that you can easily remove your credit card on Doordash using the Doordash website. Here’s what you should do in this case:
- Go to the Doordash website
- On the top-left corner click the hamburger icon
- Click on the Payment on the left-side dropdown menu
- Next the credit card you want to delete you will see three dots. Just click on this icon.
- Choose Delete and confirm the action
Why you can’t swipe left to delete the credit card
However, as I said, if you don’t have another payment method – you can’t delete the credit card on Doordash, as it’s the default (and only one) payment method. Instead, in case you want to stop using Doordash, you can just delete your Doordash account.
If you just want to change the payment method – you need to add the new one first and then you can delete your credit card.
Until you do this – you wouldn’t be able to delete your credit card.
How to delete your Doordash account
There’s no option to delete the Doordash account by clicking on a few buttons, so you will need to submit a request.
The best way is to e-mail the service and ask them to deactivate your account. Here’s what you should do:

- In the subject field you should type “Deactivate my account”
- Provide the support team with your username
- Also, you can send them a feedback – a reason why you’ve made such decision

Usually, it takes around 5 business days to proceed with your request. After it would be reviewed – your account would be closed.
