Paramount Chief Financial Officer Naveen Chopra said Wednesday that the company sees opportunities to raise the price of Paramount Plus subscriptions. However, he didn’t add how much the cost of subscriptions would increase for users.

An ad-supported Paramount Plus subscription currently costs $4.99 a month or $49.99 a year, while an ad-free subscription costs $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year.

So far, there is no exact information on how much the price of this streaming service will increase. The company has only said that they think it might. The reason for this is that the company lost 1.9 million global subscribers to the launch of SkyShowtime in Northern Europe. So it replaced Paramount Plus in Austria, Switzerland, France, and Germany. So the company hopes to be able to make up for that loss.

Paramount Plus creates many conditions for the number of subscribers to grow, mainly because the streaming service is expanding its content library. Maybe because of the drop in the number of customers in some regions, Paramount Plus will do something for their regular viewers.

Paramount Plus won’t be the only one raising prices in the U.S. Netflix has announced new rules that will entail a new fee for users to share accounts. Also, Apple TV Plus just raised its price from $4.99 to $6.99 per month. Hulu went up in price. Instead of $6.99, the subscription costs $7.99 a month for an ad-supported plan and from $12.99 to $14.99 a month for a project without ads.
