The TVs for North America are assembled in Mexico so the TVs for the US and Canada are exactly the same in terms of model numbers and specifications. For Mexico the model numbers are slightly different, but the principle of division into series is very similar.
The Samsung Crystal UHD 2024 lineup for North America includes four models, each with its own features.
Samsung DU6900 vs DU7200 vs DU8000 vs DU9000 TVs
DU6900 – As an entry-level option, the DU6900 this the cheapest model. It is offered in a limited range of popular sizes and includes two HDMI ports and one USB port, as well as the TM2240 infrared remote control, the remote is shaped like a Smart remote but has no bluetooth, so there is no voice search.
DU7200 – Positioned as the simplest option available in all sizes, this model offers three HDMI ports, 2 USB ports and a standard TM2240 remote control. This is a slightly improved TV compared to the DU6900.
DU8000 – The DU8000 features slightly improved screens from a different supplier, has a higher price tag than the more basic models. It comes with Samsung’s Smart Remote (aka One Remote) TM2360, the remote has bluetooth and supports voice search and control. Notably, the 85-inch version of this model supports a 120Hz refresh rate, while smaller versions are limited to 60Hz.
DU9000 – Exclusive to the 98-inch screen size, the DU9000 matches the DU8000 in features but offers a larger screen and 120Hz refresh rate. This model is significantly more expensive than the 85-inch DU8000, and the additional 13-inch size increases the price by about $1,000.
Samsung TVs in retail stores, models DU6900, DU7200, DU8000, DU9000
US retail stores may carry variations of these models, with different model numbers, such as the DU8000B. Samsung manufactures these alternate versions specifically for wholesale distributors, giving discounts, and there is a practice of making small improvements to these TVs that will set them apart from the base TV.
