AMD has confirmed that its flagship Radeon RX 7900 XTX graphics card is designed to compete with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080. This video card isn’t intended to compete with the more powerful RTX 4090. These two AMD graphics processors were unveiled at Thursday’s 7000 series graphics card presentation. However, AMD reported that the RX 7900 isn’t intended for such a comparison.

After the announcement of the GeForce RTX 4090 GPU, there were a lot of controversies. Therefore, Nvidia didn’t reduce the prices of the previous generation of its cards and instead dramatically increased the costs of the 4000 series cards.

The price of the RTX 4090 was $1,599. Then AMD announced that the Radeon RX 7900 XTX card would cost $999.

Along with this are the words of AMD’s chief architect of gaming solutions, Frank Azor. He said it’s not a competitor to the 4090, which is 60% more expensive. It’s a competitor to the 4080.
