How to add handwritten signature to Google Docs

Today’s technology is not standing still, and now you can replace personal signatures with passwords, fingerprints, and, of course, encrypted digital signatures. The latter, by the way, in some countries is approved by law and can be used as a document. This technology can be even more reliable than common stamps and signatures since it has a technology that leaves its own cipher for each owner.

Well, now let’s take a look at Google Docs option – Scribble as some kind of a digital signature. Although it doesn’t equate to encrypted digital signatures, it may be ideal for ordinary documents. Moreover, it’s very easy to make and will be equal to the one you leave with a pen.

What is digital signature

To begin with, you need to understand the difference between classic signatures and electronic signatures. The first is the standard signature you leave with any tool on paper or other material. The second is a signature in the form of a login and password to various websites and when filling out forms. However, there’s another type of signature and that’s encrypted digital signatures.

They are often confused with electronic signatures. Although the latter term generalizes all digital signatures, digital signatures use public key cryptography, also known as asymmetric cryptography. These signatures don’t look like commonly written signatures, but more like code in a file (document), that has a degree of security thanks to this signature.

The difference between a classical signature and a digital signature is that you can sign various documents online, and it’s moreover difficult to forge such a signature since it has its own cipher, which belongs to its owners. As for me, this format is even more reliable than a standard signature.
