Siri is a voice assistant on Apple devices. This function fulfills your requests when you give a voice command and can suggest various actions independently. Unfortunately, Siri sometimes doesn’t do it correctly, which annoys some users. If you also find it irritating, you can learn how to disable the suggestions function in the Siri voice memo on your iPhone.
How to disable Siri suggestions through the Settings
If you’re tired of Siri constantly suggesting things and want it to stop, you can use the settings to disable this feature. To do this:
- On your iPhone or other Apple device, open settings and find the Siri & Search tab.
- Scroll down to the Suggestions from Apple section. There you’ll see four items. You can use them to choose when suggestions appear and when they don’t.
If you want to disable the suggestions, disable all four options. Each switch should be gray. If you do this, you can be sure that you won’t see more suggestions while using your device.
How to prevent Siri from suggesting particular apps
If you don’t want to disable Siri altogether but only exclude certain apps, select apps to remove from the list of possible suggestions individually. To do this:
- Open Settings and go to Siri & Search.
- Under the Suggestions from the Apple section, find the list of apps. Select the app you want Siri to stop suggesting to you.
- After selecting an app, please turn off all the toggle switches on its page.
You can do this with any number of apps and leave only the ones you find most useful.
