How to find liked posts on Instagram

In most apps and social networks, finding and viewing your favorite articles, photos, and videos is fairly easy. Facebook has a log of your activity, Twitter has a separate tab with an overview of your favorite quotes, and Pinterest also has a tab with your favorite profiles. The developers of Instagram, on the other hand, have pretty much hidden this feature. There is a feeling that once you put a heart on this or that post – it won’t be saved anywhere and will disappear in the history of the feed forever.

However, that’s actually not the case. When you like a post, Instagram automatically copies the URL you want and sends it to you, thus saving it in your separate feed. You just need to find the questioning function of viewing your favorite posts in your settings.

What are Instagram Likes and how they work

Now we’re going to tell you why the likes on Instagram are so necessary and important, and how to make their number grow. You may wonder why so many bloggers ask for likes for every post? Let us explain, likes aren’t just a way to express your liking or approval for a beautiful photo and interesting text of a post. The value of a liking is increasing every day, especially given the ranking in the feed on Instagram.

What is a ranked feed? If more targeted actions are made with the post: likes, comments, saves, the Instagram algorithm will show it to more readers, and the post will rise in the feed with subscribers. Thus, a post with a small number of likes may not be seen by everyone.

Simply put, if you like a blogger’s account, don’t skimp on likes if you don’t want to lose their next posts in your feed. The fewer likes you give to a blogger, the less often you will see their content. Likes play a big role both in promotion on Instagram and in the development of further account development strategies.

Where can you check recent likes

The ability to see posts you’ve previously liked is a very handy feature created on Instagram. Thanks to it, you won’t lose important messages that you put aside for later, like photos and profiles, and you’ll be able to follow the update of comments on the post you’re excited about.

  • On your account page, click on the three horizontal lines at the top right.
  • Then select “Your Activity“.
  • Select “Interactions“.
  • And in the “Likes” section, you can see the Instagram posts you’ve liked before.
  • There is also a Comments section where you’ve left comments before, and Replies to Stories on Instagram.

To “like” someone these days is more than just showing respect for someone. It’s a great way to acknowledge things that have unique value and provide new insights. With this feature, you can come back to them again and again.

What about Private Story Likes

Since February 14, 2022, users have been able to leave likes on Stories. Previously, the only way to respond to a Story was to either “Send a message” or respond with a suggested set of reactions.

The feature has been named Private Story Likes because the likes won’t be sent to private messages (DMs) and clutter up correspondence, as was previously the case with reactions, but will be popped up in the “Activity” section. Accessing this feature, the related “heart” icon appears in the lower right corner, located between the “Send Message” button and the airplane icon.

At the same time, Stories won’t have the usual likes counter. Now they will only be visible to the author of the post. The update is rolling out gradually, like all innovations of the platform. To check how many likes you have on Stories, just click on your icon in the feed and you’ll see that on the bottom left there will be friends’ or close friends’ icons. Click on it and you’ll see not only those who watched your new post but those who left likes.

Is there a way to Save Instagram post

Bookmarking on Instagram allows users to save any posts that are not private. That is, if you click on the Bookmarks icon at the bottom right under the photo, then it can be saved to bookmarks. After downloading, you can view the posts at any time. You can also use bookmarked posts to send them in your personal messages in Direct.

Next, let’s talk about how to use the tool on both mobile devices. Saving in this way is an easy way to copy information. All the publications you like are in one tab of the app. Let’s understand how to save bookmarks in Instagram via mobile devices:

  • Launch Instagram.
  • After logging in, open the main profile page. It is located in a tab in the form of your icon at the bottom of the screen.
  • At the top right, you’ll notice the button in the form of three bars, arranged vertically. Click it to open the page editor. Select the “Saved” option in the separate panel.
  • A tab with a list of all publications added there will open.

Once you’ve added a post to Bookmarks on Instagram, you won’t lose any more posts in your newsfeed. This is very convenient if you need to save important information. Moreover, you can edit your photos. However, the editor only works when the post is added by you.

What about liking an Instagram message

Lots of new users don’t know that on Instagram you can put likes on messages. It’s very convenient because you don’t have to respond with trivial words like “Got it,” “Will do,” and all that sort of thing. It is much faster and more convenient to just put a heart.

To like a message on Instagram, you need to double-tap on it. After that, a red heart will pop up in the lower-left corner of the post. I’d say this is the sect option for those who aren’t small talk fans.

As you can see, Instagram isn’t at all difficult to use – the interface is specially designed to be so easy and quick to remember in order to attract as many users as possible (however, there are plenty of disappointing comments on it). Now you know a lot more about Instagram’s functionality and features, and that the app is still undergoing active improvement and is doing quite well (at least for us) by following trends.

Anyway, you can always delete your account if you notice this isn’t your cup of tea. This isn’t uncommon, because there are so many social networks now that there’s so much to choose from.
