How to fix Vizio TV not turning on

All people love a show. People used to watch gladiators fighting in the coliseum and street performers. Later came cinematography and many famous directors and actors were able to demonstrate their view of life situations, which they filmed and showed in cinemas. Then came the era of television, where a lot of different TV series and shows were filmed, and people could watch them right from home without getting up from their couch with their televisions. In today’s world, televisions are equipped with a bunch of extra features, and you can watch thousands of hours of different content on them. It’s hard to imagine a modern home without a good, big Smart TV. Vizio TV makes very good devices, and they are already world-famous. These are TVs which don’t bring you unnecessary problems, and you can watch your favorite programs in good quality and without much effort to do so. But sometimes there is a breakdown in the devices of this company.

What to do if the TV doesn’t turn on because of the remote control

A remote control is your universal assistant to control your TV. More often than not, people turn on their Smart TV with remote controls. That’s why the first way you can tell if something is wrong is if your TV isn’t responding to the remote. First, you need to replace the batteries in your remote control with new ones, which is most often the problem. If that doesn’t work, try turning on your TV using the power button. If the TV turns on successfully, then the problem is with your remote. It’s a good time to replace it with a new one.

What to do if your Vizio TV doesn’t turn on because of the power problem

If you don’t find a problem with your remote control and the TV doesn’t turn on after pressing the power button, then the problem is in the TV itself. More often than not, the problem is related to the power of the TV. To check that, try pressing the Menu button on your remote as well as TV, and if the menu pops up, then your TV is getting its power. If this doesn’t happen, then the problem is definitely with the power of your TV. There are several solutions to this situation.

Restart your TV.

Most power problems can be solved with this method:

  • First, unplug the power cord of your TV
  • Wait a few minutes
  • Then reconnect your TV to the power outlet
  • Press the power button on your TV for 10 seconds
  • Try to turn it on again

Check the power cord

The problem may also be that you didn’t insert the power cord tightly into the outlet or into the TV. Check it and try to insert it as tightly as you can. Try pulling it out and reinserting it.

Check the power in the outlet

Also, a common cause of this problem may be a lack of power in the outlet itself. Try plugging your TV into a different power source.

Contact Vizio Support

If none of the above helps, you need to contact a support center. You may have a defective TV and they can help you with the problem, or fix it.
