How to remove page on Google Docs

Google Docs is an online word processor that lets you create and format documents and work with other people. After spending a lot of time working on a document, we definitely want it to be perfect. The appearance of a document is just as important as the information it contains. That’s why unnecessary slides in it are not appropriate at all.

Unwanted blank pages in your Google Docs sometimes occur, especially when working with documents created from another source. It is very easy to remove such pages, but it will significantly improve the overall impression of your Google Docs.

When working with Google Docs in any browser on a PC or Mac, there are several methods of removing unwanted slides. All three methods will be described below.

The first method

The easiest way to solve the problem is to remove the unnecessary page. This is simple, but few people know and use this option. You need to put at the end of the text on the previous page and click Delete. This might work perfectly, and fix your problem. Sometimes you can also just highlight a blank page and delete it.

The second method

You can simply delete unnecessary page breaks. Google Docs has a page break feature in your documents. Perhaps you or the person you are working with has accidentally inserted a page break in your document. If this is indeed your problem, simply removing the page is unlikely to help. To make things quick and easy, it’s easier to remove the tear itself. Once you delete the gap, the extra page will disappear.

To get rid of page breaks you need: place the cursor just after an empty space and press Backspace or Delete as many times as necessary to return the text after the cursor to the previous page on which it was originally.

The third method

If your problem is not page breaks, the problem may be in the margins of your page. They may be too large, and that may be why your problem is appearing.

To correct this problem:

  1. At the top left of the toolbar, locate and click the “File” button.
  2. At the bottom of the menu that appears, find and click “Page Setup”.
  3. In the pop-up window that appears, set the size of all the fields. By standard, this is one inch, but you do as you like.

The smaller the number, the smaller the field size. If the problem was the size of the fields this should fix it and free up a lot of space in your document.
