How to watch Disney Plus on Hisense Smart TV

In a fairly short period of time, Disney Plus has established itself as a great streaming service with a lot of really interesting content. If you want to “gobble up” thousands of hours of great movies and shows, a Disney Plus subscription is definitely worth a try.

However, if you want to install and use Disney Plus on your Hisense Smart TV, it’s not as simple as it may seem. It really depends on the model of your TV.

Hisense has now achieved the largest market share gains in LCD TVs in the north and has revised its OS variants to meet current consumer demands. As a result, Roku OS and Android TV OS variants have been updated.

Previously, Hisense offered its unique VIDAA OS on the A60 series TVs but switched to a modern, high-demand operating system. VIDAA didn’t offer the Disney Plus app. However, you can still install the Disney Plus app on older models.

Well, here’s how to watch Disney Plus on your Hisense Smart TV.

How to install the Disney Plus app on Hisense Smart TV with Android OS

If you want to install the Disney Plus app on your Hisense Smart TV with Android OS, you have to follow these steps:

  • First of all, go to the main menu and select “Apps”.
  • Then, select “Get more apps” at the top.
  • Find “Disney Plus” and click “OK” on the remote control. You can also use the “Search” option in the top-right section to find the app.
  • After that, click on the “Download” button.
  • Finally, click “Open” to launch the Disney Plus app. You can also launch it from the “Home” screen.

Once you have completed these steps, you will be able to watch Disney Plus on your Hisense Smart TV with Android OS.

How to install the Disney Plus app on Hisense Smart TV with Roku OS

If you want to install the Disney Plus app on your Hisense Smart TV with Roku OS, you have to follow these steps:

  • Press the “Home” button on your Hisense remote control.
  • Next, press the right navigation button on the remote control to view installed apps, inputs, and more.
  • Scroll down and click “Add Channel”.
  • Finally, find “Disney Plus”, select it and click “Install”.

Once you have completed these steps, you will be able to watch Disney Plus on your Hisense Smart TV with Roku OS.

How to install the Disney Plus app on Hisense Smart TV with VIDAA OS

Older Hisense TVs (2019 and earlier) use the VIDAA OS, which doesn’t work directly with Disney Plus. You have two ways to use Disney Plus on Hisense TVs with VIDAA OS.

The first way is to use third-party streaming devices such as Roku, Amazon Fire TV Stick, Apple TV, Chromecast, etc. Either way, you must be subscribed to Disney Plus. So, how to use it:

  • Connect a third-party streaming device to the HDMI port on your Hisense Smart TV.
  • Turn on the TV and set the appropriate input for the streaming device.
  • Follow the manufacturer’s instructions to install the streaming device.
  • Go to the “Apps” section and install Disney Plus.

Once you have completed these steps, you will be able to watch Disney Plus on your Hisense Smart TV with VIDAA OS.

The second option is to use your PC, smartphone, or tablet as a mirror for your Hisense VIDAA. The Hisense VIDAA OS includes a mirroring app known as Screen Mirror. Since the Google Play Store also has this app, it makes sense that they both work together to mirror your phone or tablet on your Hisense VIDAA OS TV. Simply install the app on both devices and you can start mirroring Disney Plus on your Hisense TV.

Screen mirroring from your iOS device comes with some challenges. You will need an adapter from an HDMI cable to a Lightning cable. Connect your iPad or iPhone to the adapter and connect it all to the TV with a standard HDMI cable. Then select the appropriate input source on your TV, and you’re all set. Then start Disney Plus and mirror it on your TV.

You can also watch Disney Plus from your gaming consoles like Xbox or PlayStation 4 or 5. Just download the Disney Plus app to your console, log in, and be ready to enjoy the Disney Plus content.
