When deciding to buy a new TV, several questions arise. The first one is, “Which model should I choose?” But after you have decided on the brand and model, another important question comes up: “What is the width of a 65-inch TV?” This question is especially relevant for those who want the TV to fit perfectly into the interior. This article will help you understand the dimensions of a 65-inch TV so you can choose the right option.

Dimensions of a 65-inch TV

All modern TVs have a 16:9 aspect ratio. This means that the screen is 56.65 inches (144 cm) wide and 31.87 inches (81 cm) high.

The width of the TV may vary slightly due to the frame, which usually ranges from 0.2 to 0.4 inches (0.5–1 cm). In some models, the bezel may be slightly wider due to differences in screen matrix technology, but typically this difference is minimal.

The height of a 65-inch TV without a stand is about 33 inches (84 cm), and with a stand, it’s approximately 36 inches (91.4 cm). If you plan to mount the TV on the wall, you can disregard the height of the stand.

The thickness of modern TVs is usually about 2 inches (5 cm). This size is necessary to accommodate speakers, HDMI ports, USB ports, and other connectors. However, modern TVs may have a thinner profile by using an external unit where the main components of the TV are housed, leaving the screen itself as thin as possible. This approach is used, for example, in some Samsung models.

  1. I bought a 65 inch TV and it isn’t 65 inch width.

I’ve wrote to Amazon, but didn’t get a reply yet.

Seems like a great cheat from TV makers that wanna to make you think that TV is 65 inch when it actually isn’t so
