Sony introduced a prototype of its first electric car, Afeela

Japanese giant Sony, which is well known in the film industry and gaming community, is now going to conquer the car market. At the CES 2023 technology exhibition, the company presented a review video with a demonstration of Sony’s electric car capabilities.

The published video is dedicated to demonstrating a prototype of Sony’s first electric car, called Afeela, which was created in collaboration with the manufacturer Honda. Among the interesting features of the car is the claimed integration with the Unreal Engine from Epic Games. In addition, Afeela will boast different modes of autonomy and a built-in PS5 ecosystem.

Sony promises to open pre-orders for the electric car only in 2025, having previously disclosed the car’s full features and functionality. The car will be on sale in spring 2026 at the earliest.
