The Pixel 6A was just released last Thursday, but Google is wasting no time in updating the beta version of Android 13 on its new device. 9to5Google reports that the latest Android 13 beta, version 4.1, is now available for the Pixel 6A. The software was first released last Monday when it was originally available for the Pixel 4 through 6 Pro.

Android 13 is a relatively minor update to Google’s mobile OS. Some design changes appeared in last year’s Android 12 update, with expanded support for theming app icons. Support for the new Bluetooth LE Audio standard and new privacy features have also been added.

You won’t have to wait long for the official release of Android 13 if you don’t want to get your hands dirty with the beta version. Google said that the fourth public beta released last month will be the last major beta and that Android 13 is “just a few weeks away”.

9to5Google also reports that the update could come out in September. By comparison, Android 12 was released last October and Android 11 was released in September 2020.
