The new owner of Twitter, Elon Musk, said that the company is working to create a board. The task of this council will be to make essential decisions on moderating content in the company.

Elon Musk added that this council, which should decide on moderating content, will come from various perspectives. To take into account different opinions and come to a common one. The Twitter owner also tweeted a quote: “To be super clear, we haven’t yet made any changes to Twitter’s content moderation policies”.

For now, there’s no exact information about who will be a part of this council and what points of view will be there. At the same time, we should expect further information regarding how they will be appointed and how it will differ from the company’s existing content moderation teams and policies.

After purchasing Twitter, Elon Musk said that the task was to create a free speech platform. He also wants to consider bringing controversial figures like Donald Trump to the platform.

Therefore, it’s worth expecting that this council will take up this issue in the near future. It’s also quite interesting how this will work and how different it will be from other social media.
