LG Magic Link was released with WebOS 3.5 update. Like any other ‘small functions’, LG Magic Link is designed to make the process of using your TV more easier and pleasant. Frankly speaking, there’s nothing extremely important behind this function, but it can help you in some cases.
Let me briefly explain how this function is working at all. LG Magic Link is something like contextual search for information on the content you’re currently watching: depending on the type of content you’re watching, pressing the Magic Link button will display a list of contextual information, such as a TV program, a YouTube video or information about the actors.
Of course, you can’t find this information by googling it, but Magic Link just makes this process easier, as you don’t need to distract from watching movie or any other content.
How do I use LG Magic Link?
In order to use LG Magic Link you just need to do the following:
- Press and hold OK button until the Channel banner appears
- Select ‘Magic Link’ button in the Channel banner
- The information about the content you’re watching will appear at the bottom of the screen. You just need to choose the information you’re interested in.
As you see, this function is easy-to-use, so it doesn’t take a lot of time to start using it.
