How to buy from the Wish App
- Download the Wish App on your Android device or iPhone
- Sign up (if needed) or sign in. You can use your Google, Facebook, or Apple account as well as create a new account from scratch
- In case you don’t want to create an account, just tap Skip in the bottom-right corner
- Use the tabs or the search in order to find the product you’re interested in
- Tap on it to see details
- Read reviews
- Tap Buy
- At the bottom-right corner of your screen tap on the cart icon
- Once you’re ready to checkout, just tap Checkout
- Follow on screen prompts to complete your purchase
Some tips when buying from the Wish App
Read reviews
Since most of the products that are sold through this platform are incredibly cheap, I suggest carefully reading the reviews to understand the quality of this product. This will help you avoid disappointment.
There is a special mark – Verified by Wish Shoppers, which means that the product has received mostly positive reviews.
Don’t believe the descriptions and pictures
Often enough product descriptions mislead the buyer. Just as pictures can make it look better than it really is.
My advice is to rely only on reviews, and if you don’t have them yet, choose a different product. This will help you know the truth and not how the seller wants you to see the product.
Mind long shipping times
Most products are shipped from China or other Asian countries. So if you’re used to Amazon’s two-day shipping, you may be disappointed.
Sometimes you will have to wait up to 7 days (in case you’re using Wish Express shipping), but sometimes delivery time can take weeks or even months.
Sometimes items don’t arrive at all, I’ve noticed this in many complaints about Wish, so be prepared for this as well.
Double-check clothing sizes
If you are buying clothes, double-check the size. The small, medium, or large in your country might not correspond with the clothing sizes from Wish.
You can see people’s reviews and a special meter that shows whether the item fits the previous buyers, it is a reliable enough way to understand how the clothing size indicated by the seller correlates to the US sizes.
