How to watch HBO Max on Fire TV devices

To be fair, I love Amazon Fire Sticks (and all Fire TV devices as well), as they’re cheap and provide you an affordable way to make your non-smart TV a smart one, or just make your Smart TV better.

The good thing is that Amazon Fire TV devices aren’t locked for Amazon apps and content only, so you can use various services, including Netflix, Disney Plus or HBO Max.

HBO Max is also now available on Fire TV devices, so you can use this service to watch a content, including HBO exclusives and content from WarnerDiscovery.

How to install HBO Max on Fire TV devices

First of all, you should start with downloading HBO Max on your Fire TV device. After you would download the app, you would get access to a lot of content available via HBO Max. Here’s what you should do to install HBO Max on your Fire TV device:

  • Turn on your TV and Amazon Fire TV device
  • From the Home page, open the Menu and Search for HBO Max
  • Choose the Download option
  • You will see the code, enter it on HBO Max on your phone or via website on your PC/Mac

In case you already have HBO Now app, delete it before downloading HBO Max.

Another way to download HBO Max app is to use your remote voice control and Alexa Assistant. Just say ‘Alexa, download HBO Max’

How to watch content from HBO Max on Fire TV devices

After you’ve downloaded HBO Max (or you already have it), you are free to watch content from HBO Max. Here’s what you should do to access the content:

  • Turn on your TV and Amazon Fire TV device
  • Go to the Home page and find HBO Max app
  • Open the app
  • Sign in using code that you enter on activate.hbomax.com
  • Find the content you’re interested in

Once you logged in, you shouldn’t sign in every time, as you would be kept signed in. If you don’t have an account – you can sign up directly on HBO Max app on your Fire TV device.
